Update Fail

My attempt to update the version of Movable Type that I use failed. I'll have to reload the entries I've made that didn't take during the update disaster.

I've been meaning to do this for a while, but life and other things kept getting in the way. I haven't even thought about the site for a while until Daria mentioned that she stops by occasionally to see if there's anything new. Thanks to her, I've been motivated to clean things up and do a little organizing.

Its been a relapse week.

I smoked about a whole pack on Super Bowl Sunday and averaged about 10 a day for the week. That puts me at 4 packs for this week.

I've been a heavy smoker for over 25 years. I used to smoke over a carton a week, about 11 packs, sometimes more if there's a game night during the week. These are full-flavor cigarettes, no light or ultra-light crap.

That's all changed.

For the past two weeks, I've been using an e-cigarette and I'm now averaging eight cigarettes a day (3 packs per week). I really didn't think I'd see that big of a change so soon, but it's working. My ultimate goal is to get down to a pack a week.

Ever since she was a puppy, Cookie always wanted to be around her Ellie. When Ellen would be in the kitchen working, Cookie would have to find someplace safe to keep out of the way. Usually, it would be under the table, but sometimes she'd find somewhere a little more secure.

Many, many years ago, my brothers & I used to play with those little, green army men. A few years ago, I came across the massive collection and decided to give them to my nephew. Ellen & I sat down at the kitchen table with colored pencils and a roll of brown wrapping paper and made our own camouflage pattern for the box. I don't know how many troops were in there, but the box was packed.

Now, that's a Christmas present.
