Standard uniform insignia are worn over the left breast. The standard Marine insignia (left) is worn by Marines while the Commando insignia (right) is worn by those who have received specialized training.
Standard male and female duty uniforms as well as the basic battle dress uniform (BDU) are pictured above. In addition to the basic pattern, the BDU comes in a number of other designs including desert (sandy or rocky), woodland, urban, arctic, jungle, and other environments. Patterns can also be fabricated to match unique planetary conditions and seasons.
Male and female dress uniforms are shown above. Awards and decorations replace the standard Marine insignia over the left breast.
