Star Fleet Rank Insignia
Officers
Star Fleet officers have two rank indicators on their uniforms.
The first are collar pips. These are gold or blue pips for line officers and gold stars for flag ranks.
The second rank indicator is the gold sleeve stripe.

Enlisted Personnel
Enlisted personnel have their rank indicators on the upper sleeve. The department
insignia (command, science, or support) is worn above the rank insignia.

Other Grade
Star Fleet Midshipmen wear a gray uniform tunic with a single blue collar pip and silver
sleeve braids indicating their years in Star Fleet Academy.
Warrant Officers are civilian specialists granted rank for the duration of a mission. When in
uniform, they wear the appropriate department tunic with a silver broken braid to indicate
their rank.
